Meet Kaka Liz – the founder, creative force, and soul of Dapur Tara.

Born in Maumere, Flores, Kaka Liz is not just a hospitality professional – she is a storyteller, a guardian of tradition, and a builder of bridges between past and future. With a degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management, she blends global knowledge with deep local roots.

Before founding Dapur Tara in 2020, Kaka Liz was known across Indonesia for her devotion to traditional dance and performance. She has spent years teaching and reviving ancestral expressions of movement, music, and ritual – and today, she channels that same spirit into every aspect of Dapur Tara’s food and philosophy.

Her vision is bold yet grounded: to create more than a restaurant – a cultural sanctuary where fire-cooked meals, local ingredients, and community storytelling come together. Every dish at Dapur Tara carries her imprint – from the garden to the fire to the table – and every guest becomes part of a story she’s still writing.
